For a Song Wines are brought to you by people who are deeply committed to bringing you the best everyday wine from the heart of the Pacific Northwest.
For a Song Wines is a collaborative effort between wine maker Kyle Johnson and wine importer/distributor Mike de Maar. Both had a dream of creating value driven wines, sourced from great vineyards they knew, which would represent huge appeal for the price.
With packaging created to evoke feelings of nostalgia for days gone by, when we all had time to slow down and listen to the music, we hope you’ll be inspired to do the same. We invite you to enjoy a bottle of For a Song Wines with, and in celebration of, those you love.
Great Wines…For a Song!
For a Song’s Washington winemaker, Kyle Johnson, brings over 10 years of viticulture and winemaking experience from Chateau Ste. Michelle, Olsen Estates and Purple Star Wines. Kyle’s philosophy is that wine should be accessible, approachable and affordable – but most of all that it should bring family and friends together. His focus with For a Song is to create well-balanced, food friendly wines that truly showcase the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
For a Song’s Pinot Noir is made by winemakers Stewart Boedecker and Athena Pappas of Boedecker Cellars in Portland, OR. With over a dozen years experience crafting their own acclaimed wines, they are passionate about the Willamette Valley and sharing it’s true expression with the world. While each appreciating different aspects and nuances of the Pinot Noir grape, they share a traditional, minimalist approach in the cellar, allowing their wines to ferment with indigenous yeast and age in mainly neutral barrels.
